Pet Portal started because one person was tired of tracking their animals in spreadsheets. Today it helps pet owners, farmers, and breeders manage every animal in their life — at no cost.
Our Story
From notebooks to 101 modules
It started the way most side projects do — with frustration. Our founder had dogs, cats, and a small hobby farm. Vaccination records were in one app. Feeding schedules were on sticky notes. Breeding records lived in a spreadsheet. And the vet always asked for information that was buried somewhere else.
Existing apps either focused on one species, charged monthly subscriptions, or were so complicated that half the features went unused. There was nothing that covered dogs AND chickens AND goats in one place — for free.
So we built it. Pet Portal started as a simple health tracker and grew into a platform with 101 modules covering everything from daily check-ins to 3D farm property mapping. We added breeding tools because breeders asked for them. We added AI because it genuinely helps. We added community features because animal people love connecting with other animal people.
Today Pet Portal supports 16 species and serves pet owners, hobby farmers, and breeders across the country. The core promise hasn't changed: it's free, it's simple, and it works for every animal in your life.
